Precision systems for vaccines delivery
New vaccine platforms can improve the efficiency and precision of mass vaccination. This not only makes the farmer’s job easier but it can encourage better vaccine uptake offering better animal welfare.
One example of precision vaccine systems is the conveyor belt system which delivers vaccines to day-old chicks or inside the egg before hatching. This can greatly improve the vaccination rate amongst poultry farmers. And in aquaculture, oral vaccines and emerging automated injection systems allow for effective protection while avoiding manual injections that can be both tricky and time-consuming.
